Another Almosta in the books!
We have thought long & hard about ways to expand our fundraising efforts with the Almosta Race event.
While we all enjoy the day in the woods, the auction, the chili, the camaraderie & such, at the end of the day it still gives us a good feeling to know that we have, in some small way, helped others who needed help…..
This year, for the first time in Almosta history, we are going to charge a ‘gate fee’.
This is a local charity that GIVES their items to people in need. They are based just down the road in Siloam Springs, AR and they serve NE OK, NW AR. I bet if someone from SW MO shows up they’ll get help as well.
They are in need of non perishable food items & clothing of all kinds & sizes.
This time of year is their peak demand season and we hope our giving will help to ‘restock the shelves’ on Jan 2nd, 2014.
Gate fee for this year’s race will be a nonperishable food item or clothing of any size (men, women or children).
If you would rather donate money, you can do that as well.
In short, the gate fee proceeds will go to The Manna Center.
If we get 1/2 the response on this that I got when I asked for pictures & videos, we can fill a couple of pickup trucks for them.
Please share this and pass it on so people are ready for the change on race day.
As always THANK YOU to our Almosta family, fans, sponsors, RiderDown Foundation?, & now, The Manna Center of Siloam Springs, for giving us this opportunity. We couldn’t do any of this without you guys!
Dirt bikers are the best! Thanks again!!
We’ll update everybody on Rider Down donation totals and official results sheet as soon as we can
